Piano removal starts from $250. The exact price depends on the type of piano and how difficult it is to reach. Uprights and consoles are usually toward the lower end, while baby grands and pianos stuck up or down a flight of stairs take more labor. We confirm your price before we lift anything, with no surprise charges.
Do you take baby grand pianos and not just uprights?+
Yes. We remove uprights, consoles, spinets, and baby grand pianos. Baby grands often need to be partially disassembled, with the legs and lyre removed, so we can move the body safely. We handle all of that as part of the job.
Can you get a piano down a flight of stairs?+
Yes. Stairs are the main reason other haulers refuse pianos, and they are routine for us. We skid, pivot, and when needed disassemble the piano to bring it down safely. If the piano is inside the home, add White Glove in home service at $45 per item, capped at $90, and we take it from where it sits.
Why won't regular movers or town pickup take my piano?+
Pianos are heavy enough to injure untrained crews and damage floors and walls, so most movers and municipal bulk pickup programs will not touch them. We specialize in exactly these heavy, stuck items and bring the equipment and technique to remove them without damage.
