The Town of Trumbull runs a free Large Item Pickup Program: each household can schedule one curbside pickup per year at no charge, by appointment only through Public Works, for items like furniture, mattresses, and appliances (refrigerator doors must be removed). Items must be placed at the curb in an orderly pile by 6:30 AM on pickup day, and no bags, boxes, or household trash are accepted. Residents can also drop off bulky items, appliances, and mattresses for free at the town Transfer Station with a valid driver's license.
